Remote custodians can start the data preservation process anytine from anywhere by clicking the Rocket link. The custodian can get their data directly to S3 without requiring any tools, dongles, authorization codes, IT department intervention or cordinating with anyone of the other side to initiate the process. It's fast, and fully automated.

Enterprise users can link and use their own mail servers  for custodian data colelction requests and confirmations. Need more storage control? Link, use and add your own S3 buckets to your dashboard. 

What's The SaaS Workflow

How to use the Rocket Portal for remote computer and iPhone collections 

  • Create your Rocket account
  • Login and choose the options for the data collection
  • Choose the AWS S3 regional location to preserve to
  • Add your custodian emails
  • Click send
  • Rocket emails each custodian a personalized data collection request with a link for speed test and on-demand disk imaging
  •  The custodian clicks the link and the data preservation begins while saving the preserved image(s) to the specified S3 bucket 
  • Investigators can track the status and progress in real time 
  • Once completed, you can securely download the preserved images and reports

What Does Rocket Do on the Endpoints?

Computers

  • Sends a data preservation request email cintaining a link for speed test and online disk imaging 
  • Runs the Rocket app in memory
  • Can preserve full disk, targeted or drop & send preservations
  • Profiles the hardware,including make, model, type, serial number, BIOS, OS, timezone and local time
  • Inventories all physically connected drives with make, model, serial, capacity and boot order
  • Transfers the preserved images directly to AWS S3

iPhones

  • Sends a data preservation request email cintaining a link for speed test and online disk imaging 
  • Runs the Rocket app in memory
  • Can preserve logical and targeted preservations
  • Profiles the hardware,including make, model, capacity, version IOS
  • Transfers the preserved images directly to AWS S3
